Brooking no argument is far easier when he's just saved Baldur's Gate, and so when they are given leave to slip out of the city and make for the edges, he's relieved. He's tired in a way that a night of sleep won't fix, but he'll eventually get back to his baseline, and he's grateful he doesn't have to waste more energy arguing.
When he catches Enver's gaze, it's a reminder that the man may need help finding his new baseline. It's still shocking, bizarre even. But if the former human is able to find a way forward, he'll be loyally beside him every step.
